This involves investigating and exposing government and corporate corruption, as well as persons involved in civil criminal activity.

The video is a 90 second opening title sequence for a fictitious TV series called ‘Palad1n’.

Wanting the title still to be readable to a broader audience, the full leet equivalent, ‘P4l4d1n’, was thought to be excessive. The addition of a leet (or “1337”) character, ‘1’, is reflective of their common usage in hacker names. The Title paladinĪny determined advocate or defender of a noble cause. Writing regular blog entries has been a good experience though, as I have wanted to develop my writing ‘voice’. The blog proved to be more of a challenge, as my time increasingly went into assignment work. It was fantastic to experience a well-planned project culminate in a relaxed final week of only minor edits. The final assignment was largely positive experiences for me. In future, I think I would produce a check-list to tick off just prior to the shoot. My second assignment suffered from some first-timer errors in setting up green screens and filming a subject with the aspects of the screen colour in their clothing. And the importance of planning for film shoots well. I also learned more about green screening and keying than I had learned before. It seems to be something that requires a certain kind of conceptual thinking to plan well – having words and phrases positioned relative to each other, in sequence. I enjoyed learning about kinetic text in the first assignment.

I also learned that the software was so vast that it would take a lot to comprehensively know all of its capabilities. What did I learn?įirst and foremostly, I grew confidence and competence in After Effects. I ended up scheduling leave two weeks of leave to focus on the subject, in addition to weekends and many nights. This aspect is always difficult when undertaking a career that has to come first. Reflecting on the assessments throughout semester, I enjoyed their different focuses and that time was given to explore different interests and activities in our blogs.Īs has been my experience with all of my post-graduate subjects, the unit took up a considerable amount of time, outside of the classroom. I enjoy making videos and are often tasked to do so at work, so I was keen to develop my understanding of After Effects.
